Pass TrustedForm and Jornaya certificates to Juiced

Buyers often ask for a TrustedForm certificate URL or a Jornaya LeadiD with each lead. Your form captures the value, you send it to Juiced as an ordinary field, and you mark the field Deliverable if buyers need it.

The short version

Juiced treats a certificate as a normal lead field. Capture it on the form, add a field such as trusted_form_cert_url or jornaya_leadid, map the value to it, and mark it Deliverable.

You need the vendor's script on your form (from a TrustedForm account, or a Jornaya campaign script from the Jornaya Member Portal) and a Juiced source. Some form tools add the script for you.

The script must run on the same page as the form and fill a hidden field before submit. If the hidden field is empty, nothing reaches Juiced. Check the post inspector in Incoming logs.

What each one is

  • TrustedForm (ActiveProspect): the Certify script records the form session and creates a certificate URL, shown in ActiveProspect's example as https://cert.trustedform.com/ followed by an ID. It adds a hidden input named xxTrustedFormCertUrl and fills it with that URL. See Implementing TrustedForm Certify.
  • Jornaya LeadiD (Verisk): the campaign script creates a 36-character LeadiD token and writes it to a hidden input with id="leadid_token" and name="universal_leadid". See the web form implementation guide.

Juiced does not create, retain or look up certificates. Retaining (often called claiming) a TrustedForm certificate is done in a TrustedForm account, by the seller or the buyer. ActiveProspect keeps a certificate that is not retained for 72 hours by default, or up to 90 days when a form submission is detected (TrustedForm Certify). Buyers look up a LeadiD in their own Jornaya account. For the rules on consent and telemarketing, see the FCC and the FTC.

Before you start

  • TrustedForm: a TrustedForm account and its Certify snippet. ActiveProspect says creating certificates is free and only retaining them is billed. Check in your account for where the snippet is shown.
  • Jornaya: a Jornaya account with a campaign. The script, account code and campaign key come from the Jornaya Member Portal.
  • Juiced: a source, its bearer token, and the field names from View API Spec. If you have not sent leads yet, start with webhook setup.
  • Ask your buyers which one they want. Some ask for both.

Step by step

  1. Install the script on your form

    Use your form tool's built-in option if it has one (see the table below). Otherwise paste the script yourself. ActiveProspect says to place the TrustedForm snippet just before the closing </body> tag, in the same window or iframe as the form. Verisk says to place the Jornaya script after the form and right before the closing body tag, including on the page shown after the lead is submitted, with an empty hidden input <input id="leadid_token" name="universal_leadid" type="hidden" value="">.

  2. Add the field in Juiced

    On the lead category (Ingest > Lead Categories) or the source's Fields tab, click New field. Set the Title to trusted_form_cert_url or jornaya_leadid and the Type to URL or text. Leave Required for post off unless every lead must carry it.

  3. Mark it Deliverable

    Turn on Deliverable on the field if your buyers need the value.

  4. Map the hidden field to the Juiced key

    In your tool's webhook or Zapier or Make step, send the hidden field's value under the exact Juiced title, for example "trusted_form_cert_url": "https://cert.trustedform.com/...". A key with any other name shows in the post inspector but is not saved.

  5. Send a test lead and check the log

    Turn on Test mode on the source, submit the live form with zip 00001, then open Entries > Incoming logs with the Test only filter. In the post inspector, confirm Request shows a certificate URL or a 36-character LeadiD. Turn test mode off before going live.

Example request

Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN
Content-Type: application/json
Accept: application/json

{
  "first_name": "Jane",
  "email": "jane@example.com",
  "phone": "5555550123",
  "zip": "00001",
  "trusted_form_cert_url": "https://cert.trustedform.com/<certificate id>",
  "jornaya_leadid": "<36-character LeadiD>"
}

Troubleshooting

  • The field is empty in Request. The script did not fill the hidden field. ActiveProspect notes the script must be in the same window or iframe as the form and that the form must exist before the script loads. Verisk notes ad blockers can stop a token from being assigned.
  • The value is in Request but not on the lead. The key does not match the field title. Send exactly trusted_form_cert_url or jornaya_leadid, or whatever title you created.
  • Buyers do not receive it. Turn on Deliverable for the field and check the buyer's delivery mapping.
  • The same LeadiD repeats across leads. Verisk says this happens when the hidden input has a pre-filled value. Leave its value blank.
  • Other errors (401, 422, rejected). See webhook troubleshooting.

Frequently asked

How do I send a TrustedForm certificate to Juiced?

Install the TrustedForm Certify script on your form so it fills the hidden xxTrustedFormCertUrl field, add a Juiced field such as trusted_form_cert_url, map the hidden field’s value to it, and mark the field Deliverable so buyers receive it.

What field name does Jornaya use?

Verisk’s guide uses a hidden input with id leadid_token and name universal_leadid, filled with a 36-character LeadiD token. In Juiced, send that value under any field title you create, for example jornaya_leadid.

Does Juiced claim or retain TrustedForm certificates?

No. Juiced passes the certificate URL along like any other field. Retaining a certificate is done in a TrustedForm account by the seller or the buyer.

Which form builders capture TrustedForm without code?

Per their own docs, Heyflow (Business plan), LeadCapture.io and LanderLab have built-in TrustedForm options. Heyflow, LanderLab and Growform have built-in Jornaya options. Tools like Unbounce, Instapage and Gravity Forms need the script pasted in.

Do buyers need TrustedForm or Jornaya?

Many buyers ask for one or both with each lead, so ask yours before you build. For the rules on consent and telemarketing, see the FCC and FTC.
