Send Gravity Forms leads to Juiced

The Gravity Forms Webhooks Add-On can post selected fields as JSON with your own keys and an Authorization header, so each entry goes straight to your Juiced source with no connector in between.

The short version

Route: direct. A Webhooks Add-On feed on the form posts JSON to https://usejuiced.com/api/v1/leads with an Authorization: Bearer header.

You need a Gravity Forms license that includes the Webhooks Add-On (Gravity Forms lists it with the Elite and Nonprofit licenses), plus a Juiced source and its bearer token.

Set Request Body to Select Fields. All Fields sends the raw entry keyed by field IDs such as 1.3, which Juiced cannot match to first_name or zip.

Before you start

  • Gravity Forms: the Webhooks Add-On installed and active. Gravity Forms says it is available with an Elite or Nonprofit license (Webhooks Add-On). You need access to the form's settings.
  • Juiced: a source, its bearer token, and the field names from the source's View API Spec page.
  • The form: separate inputs for name, email, phone and zip. If you use the Address field, you send its zip input on its own.

Step by step

  1. Create a Juiced source and token

    In Juiced, go to Ingest > Sources > New source, turn on Test mode, and click Create source. On the Authentication tab click New bearer token and copy it (it is shown once). Open Overview > More actions (⋯) > View API Spec for the endpoint and field names. See setting up a source.

  2. Add a webhook feed to the form

    In WordPress, open the form and go to Form Settings > Webhooks, then click Add New. Give the feed a Name such as "Juiced" (it is for your reference only).

  3. Set the URL, method and format

    Set Request URL to https://usejuiced.com/api/v1/leads, Request Method to POST and Request Format to JSON. Gravity Forms sets Content-Type: application/json automatically for a JSON POST (Triggering webhooks on form submissions).

  4. Add the Authorization and Accept headers

    Under Request Headers, add a header named Authorization with the value Bearer, one space, then your token. Add a second header, Accept, with the value application/json. Pick the header name from the list or enter it as a custom key; the exact layout can differ by add-on version, so check in your account.

  5. Map selected fields to Juiced keys

    Set Request Body to Select Fields. In Field Values, add one row per Juiced field: type the Juiced key (for example first_name) and choose the matching form input as the value. Use Add Custom Value for fixed text or merge tags. Map zip on every feed, since Juiced always requires it.

  6. Add a condition if needed

    If only some entries should go to Juiced, enable the Webhook Condition and set the rule, for example only when a consent checkbox is checked. With the condition off, the feed runs on every submission. Save the feed.

  7. Send a test lead and check Incoming logs

    Submit the live form with zip 00001. In Juiced, open Entries > Incoming logs, set the Test mode filter to Test only, open the log and click Post to see the request as received, any Validation errors and the response. When it shows Accepted, turn test mode off on the source.

Field mapping

In Field Values the key is the text you type and the value is a form input, entry property or custom value. Use the Juiced keys exactly as View API Spec lists them.

Example request

With the settings above, each entry arrives like this:

POST https://usejuiced.com/api/v1/leads
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN
Content-Type: application/json
Accept: application/json

{
  "first_name": "Dana",
  "last_name": "Lee",
  "email": "dana@example.com",
  "phone": "5555550123",
  "zip": "00001",
  "utm_source": "facebook",
  "trusted_form_cert_url": "https://cert.trustedform.com/abc123"
}

A 201 response with data.id, data.status and data.price means Juiced received the lead; data.status is accepted, rejected or duplicate (leads endpoint).

TrustedForm and Jornaya

ActiveProspect's Gravity Forms guide adds the TrustedForm script in an HTML field above the submit button, then has you add a Hidden field and set the script's Field value to that field's input name, such as input_6, so the certificate URL is saved with the entry (TrustedForm for Gravity Forms). Verisk's Jornaya guide works the same way: a hidden input plus the LeadiD script and callback in an HTML field (Jornaya for Gravity Forms). Add trusted_form_cert_url or jornaya_leadid as a field in Juiced, mark it Deliverable if buyers need it, and map the hidden field to it in Field Values. More in TrustedForm and Jornaya.

Troubleshooting

  • Nothing arrives in Juiced. Turn on Gravity Forms logging (Forms > Settings, set Logging to On) and open the Webhooks Add-On log on the Logging tab (logging and debugging). Also check the Webhook Condition is not filtering the entry out.
  • 422 with every field missing. The feed is on All Fields, which sends field IDs as keys. Switch to Select Fields and type the Juiced keys. Juiced returns error.code validation_failed with errors keyed by field.
  • 401 Unauthorized (unauthenticated). The header value needs Bearer, one space and the token, with no line break. A token also stops working 24 hours after you create a new one.
  • Zip or name is empty. You mapped the whole Address or Name field. Map the individual inputs instead.
  • The certificate field is blank. The TrustedForm Field setting must match the hidden field's input name exactly, and the HTML field must sit above the submit button.
  • 201 with data.status rejected. Juiced received the lead but did not sell it. Open the log in Incoming logs to see why. More fixes in webhook troubleshooting.

Frequently asked

Does Gravity Forms have a webhook?

Yes. The official Webhooks Add-On sends entries to any URL by GET, POST, PUT, PATCH or DELETE, in JSON or form format, with custom headers, selected fields and conditional logic.

Which Gravity Forms license do I need for webhooks?

Gravity Forms says the Webhooks Add-On is available with an Elite or Nonprofit license. Check your license page in Gravity Forms if you are unsure which add-ons you have.

Can Gravity Forms send leads to a lead distribution platform?

Yes. A Webhooks Add-On feed can post each entry as JSON with an Authorization header to the Juiced leads endpoint, where the lead is routed to buyers by their bids, caps and criteria.

How do I pass a TrustedForm certificate from Gravity Forms?

Add the TrustedForm script in an HTML field above the submit button, add a Hidden field, and set the script’s Field value to that field’s input name. Then map the hidden field to a field such as trusted_form_cert_url in Juiced.

Why does Juiced reject my Gravity Forms webhook with missing fields?

The feed is probably set to All Fields, which sends field IDs as keys. Set Request Body to Select Fields and type the Juiced field names as keys, including zip.
